The law firm Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners (RGD) sponsored the conference titled Construction and Infrastructure Dispute Resolution in International Arbitration, which was hosted on September 21, 2023 by the International Chamber of Commerce Russia (ICC Russia).

The conference delved into the latest trends in construction and infrastructure disputes, focusing on the critical aspects of dispute structuring, bankruptcy issues faced by construction project participants, and optimal strategies for resolving such disputes.

The event brought together top experts from the legal services market, arbitration centers from different countries, and representatives from the ICC International Court of Arbitration and the ICC Russia Commission on Arbitration. RGD was represented by Dmitry Dyakin, Partner and Co-head at the Dispute Resolution Practice and Deputy Chairman of the ICC Russia Commission on Arbitration, and Yuri Makhonin, Partner at the Dispute Resolution Practice.

Dmitry Dyakin delivered a welcoming speech to the conference participants. In his address, he emphasized that ICC Russia events attract prominent figures from the Russian and global legal business communities and, therefore, traditionally have a significant impact on the overall market development. Dmitry also expressed his hope that this year’s ICC conference would, as usual, provide a wealth of valuable information applicable to the participants' work.

Yuri Makhonin spoke at the session titled "Construction and Infrastructure Arbitration: Top 5 Trends" that explored different methods of resolving disputes, as well as the impact of external factors on construction and infrastructure arbitration.
