Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners law firm (RGD) became the General Partner of the Russian National Championship held as part of Jessup Russia 2023, one of the most important international moot court competitions for law students.

The Philip Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world's most prestigious moot court event that brings together around 2,000 students from 90 countries every year. The competition is held in English and is a simulation of proceedings before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations. For the first time in a few years, the Russian National Rounds of Jessup were held offline in Moscow.

The final round opened with a welcome speech by Dmitry Dyakin, Partner and Co-Head of Dispute Resolution Practice at RGD. He pointed out that he was very pleased to see so many young professionals taking part in the competition, with the best teams reaching the finals.

The team representing the Kutafin Moscow State Law University won the first prize and became the Russian National Champion 2023. The second prize went to the Kazan Branch of the Russian State University of Justice.

Both teams will take part in the International Rounds of Jessup and join the fight for the main prize, the Jessup World Cup. The final rounds will take place in Washington DC in April 2023.
