Stanislav Karandasov, a counsel with Dispute Resolution practice at Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin & Partners (RGD), participated in the annual conference “Bankruptcy-2022: what to expect?” organised by the Kommersant newspaper. RGD acted as a partner of the event.

The conference was dedicated to the burning bankruptcy issues. Lawyers, representatives of the State and business community discussed the development and implementation of bankruptcy legislation, fictitious bankruptcies, evolution of the status of a person controlling a debtor, and court practice on these issues.

Stanislav spoke about the role of bankruptcy in foreign assets management and analyzed the draft law “On external administration of organization management”. His presentation included the ways of further development of foreign businesses in Russia and mechanisms of transfer of Russian assets for companies leaving Russia. Stanislav described in details the external administration: grounds for its appointment, its functions and competencies, criteria of the organisations which are potentially at risk, and other important issues. In addition, he paid attention to controversial moments in the draft law, commented on its key aspects, noticed some weaknesses and shared practical recommendations on how to prevent the launch of external administration.
