Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners law firm (RGD) achieved the abolition of restrictive measures against the assets of its client, a Russian citizen, of more than $10 million.

Euroclear has seized the client’s funds and securities due to the EU sanctions imposed on the National Settlement Depository. Now, the Federal Treasury of Belgium has issued permission to release these assets, securing the withdrawal of these assets from the account owned by the NSD within Euroclear.

The team of RGD lawyers, represented by the Head of Sanctions Practice Anastasia Konstantinova and Associate Alen Martirosyan, jointly developed a legal strategy and prepared all the necessary documents to apply for assets release and also on behalf of the client instructed European lawyers who have been in direct dialogue with the Regulator.
