On April 5, the XX anniversary Legal Forum organized by Vedomosti was held in Moscow. Civil and criminal defense lawyers, business owners, managers, experts, and analysts discussed the "new normal" of the legal industry.

Maria Blagovolina, Managing Partner and Head of the White-Collar Practice at Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners law firm (RGD), took part in a session dedicated to developing the legal business.

The participants discussed the difficulties faced by the legal business over the past two years, how the approach to hiring consultants and employees has changed, what the legal market leaders look like today, and how clients and their requests have changed.

"We see a consistent increase in the number of clients’ requests related to restructuring of assets, settling various family and inheritance issues, and establishing personal funds," Maria Blagovolina said. "And if at the end of the last year, we only made a forecast regarding an emerging trend, this year, we can safely say that this forecast was correct, and that trend will continue until the end of the year."
