Dmitry Kaysin, Partner at the Dispute Resolution Practice and Managing Partner of RGD International Central Asia, and Yan Kalish, Counsel at Dispute Resolution Practice at Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners law firm (RGD), took part in the conference "International arbitration in a divided world: a challenge to the system's legitimacy" hosted by the International Bar Association (IBA). The event was held in Lisbon as part of the 24th IBA Annual Arbitration Day.
As per tradition, the conference agenda and discussions are shaped by global events that occurred in the past year. This time, the sessions were centered around the implications of sanctions on arbitration proceedings, the impact of third-party funding on investment arbitration, self-regulation versus statutory regulation, anticorruption matters, and perils and promise of transparency.
