Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners law firm became the general sponsor of the International Commercial Arbitration Moot (ICAM) 2023, which took place from October 26 to October 28.

ICAM is an annual international student competition in private international law and international commercial arbitration, which traditionally brings together teams from Russian and foreign universities. This year, the main theme of the competition was Cross-Border Ship and Shipowners’ Liability Insurance.

Representing RGD at the event were Yuri Makhonin, Partner at the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice, and Evgeny Voronin, Associate at the same practice.

Yuri Makhonin served as the jury chairman during the final round. He also presented awards to the winners and announced the opportunity for exceptional participants to secure an internship at RGD. Yuri’s contributions were recognized by the Organizing Committee, who awarded him the title of Best Arbitrator at the end of the event.

Evgeny Voronin was the coach of the student team from Lomonosov Moscow State University, which won second place in the competition. In recognition of Evgeny’s role in the team’s success, the organizers awarded him the title of Best Coach.
