As a result of the transaction, AEON Corporation, a private international investment group, has continued expanding its investment portfolio and acquired a strategic shareholding in one of the largest investors in the mining sector of Armenia whose assets include Ararat gold extraction plant and Zod (Sotk) gold mine that has the largest pure gold reserves in the territory of Armenia, as well as Russia.

This cross-border transaction involved the following jurisdictions: Russia, Armenia, United Kingdom, Cyprus, and the British Virgin Islands.

Suren Gortsunyan, head of RGP’s Corporate practice, oversaw the transaction, with counsel Konstantin Mineev working on the project.
