The event will address the most critical issues of internal corporate investigations (“internal investigations”) and investigations initiated by regulators and law enforcement authorities (“external investigations”), including public sector compliance, compliance in various business industries, and specifics of the Russian regulatory environment in which foreign companies operate.

Andrey Tsyganov, Deputy Head of Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will be the keynote speaker of the conference.

The conference will be chaired by Ilya Rybalkin, founding partner and co-head of the Dispute Resolution Practice at Rybalkin, Gortsunyan and Partners, and Lord Peter Goldsmith (QC), former Attorney General for England and Wales and the UK chief legal advisor under Tony Blair in 2001 to 2007; he is currently a head of the European litigation practice at US law firm Debevoise & Plimpton.

The speakers include representatives of the leading Russian and international companies, such as Yandex, Takeda, General Electric, Veolia Russia, law firms and consulting companies.

The event programme comprises three sessions. The first session moderated by Ilya Rybalkin will involve discussion of “internal” and “external” investigations in Russia, their specifics and growing significance, with particular focus on cyber-crime investigations. The second session moderated by RGP’s counsel Nato Tskhakaya will involve a panel discussion in which compliance officers of the leading Russian and international companies will share their industry pains and compliance specifics. The speakers in the third session moderated by Anastasia Konstantinova, counsel at RGP, will provide practical guidance on doing business in Russia. This will be followed by closing remarks of the conference chairs.

The event will be a Zoom online conference in English with Russian interpretation.
