Senior Associate from RGD Speaks at SPB Legal Day

SPB Legal Day was held on June 27 in St. Petersburg with support from Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners law firm (RGD). The event is regularly organized within the framework of St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

Anton Sheronov, Senior Associate at RGD’s Regulatory Practice, spoke at a roundtable titled “Roadmap for interactions between businesses and government agencies.” In his presentation, he focused on the current trends and practices in counter-sanctions regulation.

Anton spoke about the criteria for obtaining permissions from the regulator, how intra-group transactions and transactions involving shares or stakes in strategically important companies are regulated and described the consequences of violating counter-sanctions regulations using examples from practice. He also talked about issues such as unblocking assets in type "C" accounts, and payment by the residents for the shares in the foreign companies.
