Sergey Mishin joins Dispute Resolution Practice of Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin & Partners (RGD) law firm as senior associate and will concentrate his efforts on sports arbitration.

Sergey Mishin is a legal professional with over twenty years of experience. His legal practice spans over large international law firms as Pavia e Ansaldo, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Debevoise & Plimpton, where he advised on corporate and commercial law, and M&A transactions in various industries including O&G, M&M, TMT and transportation.

Prior to joining the RGD, Sergey, for several years along with commercial and corporate law, had been representing the interests of Russian athletes of national and international level. Sergey has over 30 cases related to violations of anti-doping rules in various disciplinary bodies and in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). He also challenged the provisions of the statutory documents of international and national federations.

Counsel Yuri Makhonin also works in the practice of sports arbitration. Yury has been an ICAC arbitrator for many years, where he has dealt with numerous disputes concerning anti-doping violations, civil law disputes between athletes and clubs, and between clubs and sports leagues, including in relation to breaches of various sports league regulations. Yury was featured by The Best Lawyers 2018-2022 among the best lawyers in sports law in Russia.
