On September 29, 2023, Kommersant supplement Legal Business published Top Deals of the Year, a list ranking major M&A deals involving Russian investors arranged between February 2022 and September 2023. The list included two deals supported by Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners (RGD).

According to the Kommersant newspaper, number one on the list was acquisition of Delivery Club from VK by Yandex, which at the same time sold its Dzen and News services to VK. The RGD team provided legal support to Yandex at all stages of the deal and conducted due diligence of the asset being acquired. The deal was of strategic importance to both parties.

Also on the list was the deal to sell a 100 percent stake in Orica CIS to Evoblast. The RGD team provided full legal support during the deal in all aspects of corporate law and regulatory compliance, as well as in submitting the necessary applications to the relevant subcommittee of the Government Commission on Monitoring Foreign Investment. The deal helped preserve hundreds of jobs and advanced drilling and blasting technologies in Russia.

The editors selected M&A deals that most clearly reflected the key trends in capital flows between February 2022 and September 2023. Based on data provided by the law firms and information from open sources, the study included both domestic transactions, in which the asset remained in Russia, and deals closed by Russian investors abroad.
