RGP has acted as a partner of the Rozenberg Contest and presented the awards to the winners at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation
The 6th Student Contest in International Commercial Arbitration was held from 20th to 22nd March 2019 and concluded with the final round of the moot court at the Congress Centre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Forty-three teams from Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the moot.

The jury of the competition was headed by Professor V.A. Chubarov, the Vice-President of the CCI of the Russian Federation. Arbitrators of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the CCI of the Russian Federation and Arbitration at the Moscow CCI acted as judges. The arbitration proceedings were carried out in accordance with the Rules of ICAC at the CCI of the Russian Federation.

Anastasia Konstantinova, a counsel in RGP’s Dispute Resolution practice, and Yan Kalish, a lawyer at RGP, have congratulated the winners and presented the prizes to the teams that came first: MGIMO in the English section and MSAL in the Russian section.

Ilya Rybalkin, the head of RGP’s Dispute Resolution practice, commented: “We are happy to act as a partner of the Contest and support the development of moot court movement in Russia. The Rozenberg Contest brings together the experience of the most celebrated professors and arbitrators of Russia and the energy of young and aspiring court lawyers”.

The Rozenberg Contest is one of the largest student contests in international commercial arbitration in Russia, which for the sixth year was organized by the Russian Foreign Trade Academy with the support from the CCI of the Russian Federation, ICC Russia and the Russian Arbitration Center.
