Dispute resolution

• Representing a European cruise company in an international commercial arbitration under the LMAA Terms arising out of an English law charterparty.

• Representing a shipping company in an international commercial arbitration under SIAC rules arising out of non-performance of shipbuilding contracts

• Representing a major French-based international agricultural company in Russian commercial courts in connection with its claim against a Russian counterparty for non-payment under a supply contract

• Representing a Russian subsidiary of a European manufacturer of glass products in Russian courts of general jurisdiction to successfully challenge fine imposed by Russian environmental authorities

• Representing a Russian subsidiary of a French retail company in Russian courts of general jurisdiction in a labor dispute initiated it by its former general director

Reputation recovery

• Providing comprehensive advice and legal representation to a private client in matters related to the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation and general PR matters in a number of jurisdictions. Providing strategic guidance, coordinating foreign advocates/consultants outside of Russia (including the UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, France, Croatia, and etc.), and completing legal preparation for disputes concerning the protection of the client’s honor, dignity, and business reputation in foreign jurisdictions (with positive outcomes, including injunctions against foreign media in the client’s favor; signed cease-and-desist declarations, etc.). Developing comprehensive PR strategy, which included legal advice to the client and the client’s PR department, handling media relations, and preparing requests to publish responses and rebuttals

• Providing legal support to the PR department of a major Russian investment holding company, handling relations with the media, filing requests to publish responses and rebuttals, managing claims, and representing the company in legal proceedings, including those in foreign jurisdictions

Corporate and Regulatory Practice

• Participating in a number of MBO transactions which required FAS clearance and obtaining the consent of the Government Commission on Monitoring Foreign Investment

• Advising a French pharmaceutical company in the process of receiving the consent of the Government Commission for distribution of profit received by its Russian subsidiary

• Participating in the procedure of forced conversion of depositary receipts held by foreign investors into securities of Russian issuers
