Elena Murashko

Elena Murashko is an associate at RGD’s Dispute Resolution practice. Elena focuses on international commercial arbitration as well as investment treaty arbitration.

Elena is the author of academic articles on issues of international investment law and WTO law, as well as the finalist of several international moot court competitions (Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition on WTO law, Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition). 


Prior to joining RGD, Elena worked in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. She was responsible for representing the Russian Federation in WTO disputes, negotiations on bilateral investment treaties, free trade agreements, WTO agreements and analysis of the impact of sanctions on trade. Also, Elena completed internships in legal departments of two leading industrial and energy companies.

Landmark engagement experience

  • Representing a major Russian businessman in a dispute regarding removal of publications defaming his honour, dignity and business reputation before Latvian courts, as well as in connection with enforcement of the obtained interim measures in the form of blocking unwanted articles

  • Representing the Russian Federation in the WTO Dispute Settlement Body in a dispute concerning procurement of certain goods

  • Representing the Russian Federation in negotiations concerning agreements on trade in services and investments with Asian countries
