Evgeny Voronin is an associate with RGD’s Dispute Resolution practice.



Background



Prior to joining RGD, Evgeny was with the Litigation & Arbitration practice of a leading law firm in Russia and the CIS. His career path began with a position as a legal assistant at the international law firm De Berti Jacchia Franchini Forlani. Evgeny is the author of a number of publications regarding international law, teaching “Private International Law” course at Russian leading university.

  • Representing a major Russian contractor in a dispute in Vietnam arising out of an EPC contract in arbitration under the SIAC Rules

  • Representing a subsidiary of Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation in a dispute arising out of a contractor agreement under the ICC Rules

  • Advising a shipbuilding company in a dispute arising out of a supply agreement and services agreement in international arbitration proceedings under the SCC Rules

  • Representing an Asian construction company in a dispute related to construction of a large iron ore processing plant in international arbitration proceedings under the ICC Rules

  • Advising a Russian company in an international arbitration against a sovereign state under the ICSID AF Rules


Litigation


  • Representing an English company in a dispute related to setting-aside a ruling on jurisdiction of international arbitration ad hoc resulting from a consulting services agreement concluded with an authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan

  • Representing a major construction and engineering company, including before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, in a dispute related to compensation for environmental damage due to disposal of a vessel in the Caspian Sea

  • Representing a foreign sole shareholder of a debtor in a bankruptcy case related to the largest corporate conflict in modern Russia

  • Representing a Dutch bank in connection with a bankruptcy case involving its debtor and in a parallel dispute on invalidation of loan agreements tried by a court of general jurisdiction, including before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation 

  • Representing holders of a Russian bank’s shares that have been sold out at an auction conducted in the bankruptcy case of a large insolvent bank, , including before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation
