Prior to joining the RGD team, Margarita worked at dispute resolution practice in one of the law firms recognized by the leading Russian legal rankings. Margarita handled commercial disputes for clients in international and Russian courts and arbitrations, advised clients on sanctions and counter-sanctions regulation.

Landmark engagement experience


  • Representing the largest auto parts supplier in Russia in several litigations in Singapore on a claim against former business partners in connection with parallel imports of automotive components to the Eurasian Economic Union.

  • Representing the client in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on issues of disruption of equipment deliveries from Germany to Russia due to the imposition of European sanctions.

  • Representing one of the leaders of the aquaculture salmon market in Russia in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on the issue of refusal by a Turkish party to fulfill its contractual obligations to supply aquaculture feed under the rules of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

  • Advising one of the largest real estate developers in Russia on the issue of inclusion of a group of companies in the US sanctions list, as well as on imposition of personal sanctions against the company's management.

  • Representing a client in an investment project for breeding beef cattle in a dispute regarding bringing to subsidiary liability for the amount of more than RUB 1 billion.
