• Representing a joint venture of the leading Russian airport operators in the litigation to challenge the resolution of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia regarding the results of a tender for reconstruction and management of Blagoveshchensk international airport

• Advising a leading Russian airport holding entity in connection with the complaint to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia with respect to a tender for privatisation and modernisation of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk international airport

• Advising a leading Russian designer and manufacturer of helicopters in connection with a warning regarding the need to enter into a license agreement with a competitor issued to the client by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia

• Representing a major pharmaceutical company before FAS in connection with competitor’s complain regarding unfair advertising by our client

• Representing the Russian and international companies before the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and courts in cases of unfair competition and abuse of dominant market position

Merger Clearance

• Representing a major French transnational company in connection with obtaining approvals from the Russian state authorities required under the antimonopoly laws and the laws regulating foreign investments in strategic companies

• Representing Caterpillar in connection with obtaining FAS approval for its US$7.6 billion acquisition of Bucyrus, a leading manufacturer of mining equipment

• Advising a French investment fund on obtaining antimonopoly approval in connection with a transaction to acquire a manufacturer of roofing materials

• Coordinating the process of obtaining a preliminary FAS approval in connection with a planned acquisition by the client of retail assets in Russia

• Coordinating the process of obtaining a preliminary FAS approval in connection with a planned joint venture in the sphere of retail electronic and appliance stores in Russia

• Advising on the issues related to obtaining FAS approval in connection with a merger of two major Russian transport holdings

• Advising Thales Group, one of the world leaders in data encryption and digital security, on obtaining FAS approval in connection with acquisition of Gemalto group of companies

• Advising a major global producer of food supplements and flavouring agents on obtaining FAS approval in connection with acquisition of a competitor and subsequent expansion of the group’s Russian business

Foreign Investments in Strategic Companies

• Advising Baker Hughes in connection with obtaining approval of the Russian Government Commission on Foreign Investment for a merger with Halliburton

• Advising Baker Hughes in connection with obtaining approval of the Russian Government Commission on Foreign Investment for a merger with GE Oil & Gas

• Representing a major French transnational company in connection with obtaining approvals from the Russian state authorities required under the antimonopoly laws and the laws regulating foreign investments in strategic companies

• Advising shareholders of an independent Russian oil company on the necessity of obtaining FAS approval for a joint venture with a strategic investor

• Advising QH Oil Investments, a Qatar sovereign investment fund, in connection with acquisition of a 14.16% stake in PJSC Rosneft, including filing a notice with FAS in accordance with the law on investments in strategic industries

• Advising major international oil and gas drilling company on antitrust compliance issues in connection with its restructuring in Russia

• Advising DiDi, an innovative taxi-hailing service expanding on the Russian market, on the antitrust issues to ensure its compliance with the Russian antitrust legislation.
