Landmark engagement experience


  • Representing a Russian state company in a multi-billion dollar arbitration under the ICC Rules arising out of the termination of the EPC contract.

  • Representing a top Greek bank in a number of high-profile disputes before Russian courts with respect to the foreclosure over land plots as well as in subsequent bankruptcy proceedings of Russian subsidiaries of a Greek development conglomerate following a EUR40 million default under Greek law governed facility agreement.

  • Representing Renova Group in a US$1 billion litigation case of exceptional factual and legal complexity in several jurisdictions. It concerns the ownership of T Plus, Russia’s largest private heating and electricity generation company. The matter is heard in the BVI court and governed by English and Russian law.

  • Representing T Plus in a dispute involving subsidiary (secondary) liability claims against the persons controlling E4 Group JSC (including Mikhail Abyzov, ex-minister of the Open Government) as part of E4 Group bankruptcy proceedings.

  • Representing a client within bankruptcy proceedings of the largest Russian industrial enterprise.

  • Representing a German group of developers in a number of disputes in Russia with a major St Petersburg businessman arising from a Russian subsidiary being caused to become bankrupt by entering into a sham loan agreement and imposing subsidiary (secondary) liability on the parent companies with respect to the debtor’s debts.

  • Representing a major Russian metallurgical plant in the arbitration proceedings under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) against one of the world’s leading companies in mining and processing of natural resources.
